How does the RAD140 work?
Androgens receptors (AR) target normal human sex development, but they also affect bone, muscle, liver and central nervous system through the activation of compounds such as testosteron.
The problem within the medical and bodybuilding communities is that the use of testosteron to activate AR signals to increase muscle and skeletal development can also affect sex tissues, leading to testicular atrophy, female clitoris enlargement and even prostate cancer risk.
RAD140, a non-steroidal selective androgens receptor modulator (SARM), circumvented this problem. Because of the way RAD140 binds to androgens receptors, different cells respond by releasing different proteins, and only some androgens receptors are activated throughout the body.
This stimulation leads to the activation of androgens receptors in bone and muscle cells, rather than boosting liver enzymes or affecting tissue.
